SeaTac Hyatt Groundbreaking Ceremony
Posted by Venture General Contracting on Mar 22
On Wednesday, March 15, the SeaTac Hyatt team held a groundbreaking ceremony to kick-off the development of the $85 million Hyatt hotel located across the street from SeaTac airport. Guests at the event included City of SeaTac officials, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Lou Development, and of course, Venture!
With golden sledge hammers in hand, the team took the first few whacks at the Jet Motel - which will soon be abated and demolished along with the Concourse Inn to clear the 3 acre site for development.
The 376-room hotel will have two towers above two floors of below grade parking. One tower will be operated as an extended stay Hyatt House and the other as a standard Hyatt Place hotel. Each buildling will be 8 stories and together they will total 365,000 sf. A 100-unit apartment building will also be planned on part of the property at a future date.
Below are a few pictures from the event, including the Venture team, the ownership team alongside city officials, and the first pieces of the Jet Motel going down!
